The radish taste test

 Our Radish taste test.

This morning at school, Mrs.Harewa showed us some radishes she grew in her garden, she pulled out 2 small radishes from a bread bag. She told us that they were fresh from her garden and we were going to the teacher’s staff room to taste them. We all lined up outside and Mrs.Harewa took us there. She told us all to sit down on one of the chairs. “ Ok, Grace and Erin please go wash the radishes.” she said. When Grace and Erin had finished washing the radishes Mrs. Harewa got a small knife and started cutting the radishes in small pieces, once we had put the radishes in our mouth and started chewing them a little, all of us went straight to the rubbish bin! We all opened the bin up and spit the radish out! Most of us thought it was spicy or disgusting. The others SOMEHOW thought it was pretty good.

This is my house. It is a normal house just like yours. But there is something special about my house. It is the only house that has a Wigit living inside.
Do you want to see it? Come on let’s go…

The Wigit has a pink and curly tail like a cute poodle. My Wigit has blue eyes with straight eyelashes like a pony. My Wigit has fur like a pig. My Wiget eats carrots like a bunny rabbit My Wigit can twirl and swirl like a tornado. My Wiget lives in a place called Syer Holo. My Wigit also likes to be fancy,I feel happy about my Wigit.

The pygmy sea horse

Hello Everyone! I'm Nitya and This my pygmy sea horse writing. We are learning about preservation amd conservation this term! This is my work! Have you seen a pygmy seahorse? Was it orange or purple?

The pygmy Sea horse

Hello people! It's me Nitya Telling you about one of my COOLEST pieces of writing yet! It's about the most TINEIEST sea horse on earth, the pygmy sea horse. Have you seen one before? And was it Orange or purple? Here is my work!

The Pygmy seahorse.

Pygmy seahorses are one of the smallest seahorses on earth. Camouflage is critical to their survival, it’s how they hide from predoters. These seahorses are very fragile, so unless they find a place to camouflage, they will DIE. The Pygmy seahorse spends  all of its adult life  on a type of coral called a sea fan. Orange Pygmy seahorses hide on orange coral and purple Pygmy seahorses hide on purple coral. But here's the question, do they change their colour to match the coral that they find, or do they look for coral that matches their colour? To explore that quistion, scientists went to the Philippines and took a small piece that had a pair of mating pygmy seahorses on it and put them in a tank. Then when the babies were about  to come out, They placed some purple sea fan in the tank with no Pygmy seahorse in it and placed it in the tank as well. When the babies came out and grew a little, they turned purple! So that answers the question, Pygmy seahorses change their colour to match the coral they find!

Conclusion.

This week we have been learning how to conclude. Concluding is like a blurb on the back of a book. We had to read an article about insect habitats and write or record a conclusion/ summary about the article. Here is my work! (It's pretty short...)

This story is all about insect habitats/homes. Some insects build more complex nests than others such as ants and Termites. Lots of insects build all kinds of homes, they could be big or small. In conclusion, this book states that insects can build all kinds of things!
